SCRIMMAGE ONE SUMMARY: The Tomball Bobcats wrapped up their first competitive outing for the 2016-2017 season with a controlled scrimmage against the Texas Hurricanes in Katy, TX. The Hurricanes are a first year team looking to make their mark in the Dynamic Texas Football Association (DTFA).
We first want to thank Head Coach Deloyde Sanders for the invite and hosting such a well managed pre-season scrimmage. Based on their team performance and way their players carried themselves there is no question Coach Sanders runs a tight ship, and they are well on their way toward what could be a very successful inaugural season. Football is a contest of strength, character, will, and talent. However, the game hardly seems to change at any level in terms of what matters most - the relationships and lessons that can result from competition, and we were honored for the opportunity.

Both teams showed strong running games and solid receiver corps as each found the endzone on more than one occasion. However, scores weren't as important as the player reps and the coaching opportunity which was the focus of the scrimmage.
The Bobcats look to continue improving on each side of the ball as they look to host the San Antonio Hurricanes on January 14th, 2017 before opening the 2017 regular season against the Channelview Blazin' Bullz, February 18th, 2017. View our full schedule HERE!
