WEEK FIVE:Both teams had a slow start to the season going into week four each with 1-2 records, but as they enter week five which team will stay above .500? The Golden Triangle Seminoles (2-2) host the Tomball Bobcats (2-2) in Vidor, TX in what is sure to be a competitive matchup.
SUMMARY: Your Tomball bobcats fought down to the last second, but lost a nail bitter to the Golden Triangle Seminoles with a final score of 23-22. The Bobcats started the game with their 5th quarterback of the season, #21 Jalen Richard, but moved the ball effectively on the ground. It was a slow start for both teams as each struggled to find the endzone in the first quarter. However, the Seminoles struck first in the second quarter as they took the lead on a deep pass to make the score 6-0. Tomball maintainted their composure sticking to the ground game and was able to answer quickly with a touchdown of their own. Both defenses held tough, and it appeared the game would come down to whichever team would make the most mistakes.
Unfortunately, the Bobcats special teams allowed 3 punt blocks on the day with two being returned for a touchdown. The Bobcats kept battling and worked together as their 6th quarterback of the season, #8 Dee Watson, took over the helm for an injured Jalen Richardson. The game came down to a two point conversion that the Bobcats were unable to convert and ultimately fell to the Seminoles. Now (2-3) on the season, Tomball will host the defending champion Texas Colts next week at home.
